The Hipskine, bringing LoFi and Tech together
michaelramm | Mar 8 2006
I am not sure where to put this. John West has brought together the HiFi and LoFi worlds in his GTD implementation in his creation of the Hipskine. GTD + Tracks + Moleskine = Hipskine I have read over the article a couple of times and have decided to try to implement this in my GTD lifestyle. I have been using Tracks for about a week and loving it!! I carry 3x5 cards for notes and such (I am a Network Administrator in a 1-man IT department...so I get a lot of "Hey, while your here, could you look at X?") I just have to find a Moleskine 2006 Pocket Daily Planner since the Official USA site is sold out and your only option is to be notified when the 2007 planners come out, and there is no place in Alabama that sells Moleskine. :( I understand that it is not a revolution in thinking in bringing these two things together, but it is an innovation that I think will work for me. See the write up here,...Submitted by michaelramm on March 20, 2006 - 1:13pm.
See the write up here, and you will see some screens of Tracks in the process. emory: the plain text file will look better than you handwriting probably also. I am going to set up a Word template to copy and paste into to print it out. And while scanning for the status of my request...I see a little request for printing to HipsterPDA from someone at hellyeah.com...who could that be?? I can get 10 3x5 in there comfortably now. I did the folded paper thing for now to get it going. I will tweak and upgrade post childbirth (meaning mid-April). I will try to get the Flickr stuff up tonight. Signed up for my account and such last night. Michael » POSTED IN:
