Automator workflow for weekly review
sarabocaneanu | Jan 20 2007
I have been trying to create Automator workflows for regular rituals such as the weekly review. They are meant to keep me on track and prevent me from getting distracted, so they rely heavily on the "Wait for User Action" component that shows me a message ("Process all index card items") until I click OK, after which it goes to the next one. It works like a charm when I run it from the Automator; however, when I save it as a workflow or app, the thing just opens and immediately closes. Any ideas on how I could get this to work? 7 Comments

I wasn't able to access the zipped file for some reason to see more of what you are doing with Automator, but I do include a 'Do Weekly Review' script as one of several for the Mac in my Ready-Set-Do! implementation. You could try it out and see what yout think. I've got things set to remind about paper-based as well as computer-based inventories of projects & actions. It may give you more ideas for your Automator script. Or having seen mine, you may have some suggestions that might help me improve my own. Just download the Ready-Set-Do! scripts, run the installer, and click "Do Weekly Review" and it will walk you through it all. http://homepage.mac.com/toddvasquez/apps Todd V » POSTED IN:
