Leopard GTD Icons
Rob Hawkes | Nov 4 2007
Hi There, I just wanted to share some icons I created to help me get things done in Leopard. They are based on the folders (Archive, Inbox, Outbox and Pending) used in the lovely Kinkless Desktop series. Let me know if you have any comments and suggestions, I'm sure they aren't perfect (I still haven't mastered the shading of the symbols on the folders for a start! ^_^). I can't upload the icons zip attachment, you can see and download the icons on my deviantArt profile though: http://fruitycube.deviantart.com/art/Leopard-GTD-Icons-v1-69024959 Regards,

These are a nice replacement to the non-matching (but attractive) ones I had before. Thanks for sharing. »

These are great, Rob. Here are some GTD icons I’m using with my Ready-Set-Do! program for the mac. There really aren’t very many GTD-specific icon sets available. It would be nice if there were lots more to choose from. I hope more icon developers will consider making a wide selection of them. »

Thanks for the kind words. These are the first icons I’ve made, so it’s nice to hear people are enjoying them (even if I did use the Apple blank folder as a base! ^_^). Are there any other folders/symbols that anyone would like created?? Rob »

Have you looked into different mini versions so that they have a easier to see icon in the sidebar? For example, the standard Downloads folder has a nice embossed folder icon when viewed large, but when you put it in the sidebar, you see a bright green arrow down icon. Same deal with Movies, Photos and Music. Throw those into the sidebar to see what I’m talking about. If your icons did this, they would be perfect. »

After finally reading the GTD book I’m thinking about re-making some of the icons and producing some new ones. I’ll definitely take on board the comment about the mini icons. (Btw, I am Fruitycube, this is my main username - I can’t find out how to delete the other account) »
