I have been searching hi and low for an adressbook that could give me all the funtions I need. And in short I wanted a flexible adressbook database that could help me keep track of people and information about them.

And now thanks to Wiki I have it... sort of :-)

I have created a mix of wiki and pure text file system based on pmwiki.org and with some help of some other opensource utilities I have the following functions :

I can add people and relationships between people.
I can export to my mailsystem both standard mailadresses and groups (based on categories in the wiki)
I can (soon anyway) dump all people to my hpda through autocreating an openoffice document with pictures etc
I can autogenerate a map over all the people in the adressbook
etc

The map is one of the most useful things I think as it shows a big image with all the relationships between people and companies. And it also shows images of those people I have photos on and you can click on a face to get to their page.

Now I am not a developer so I have nothing that I can really publish yet of these functions but if anyone would like to participate in this little project please contact me and lets see what we can do...

Oh one more great thing is that pmwiki has a fully standalone server functionality so I have the complete thingy on my USB taking up just about 6 Mb for the moment....
