Levenger Circa users: what is with the pen loop?

I'm getting ready to post my complete impressions on this notebook. Short version: yeehaw. But what is the deal with the pen loop? The glue seems a little weak underneath it, and it looks like it is supposed to hold the pen/pencil OUTSIDE the notebook, which is fine. But It just appears to be a critical point of failure on the notebook. Am I worrying about nothing? Or is the pen supposed to be held inside, where it is in the way from the paper, making the notebook unable to close? Very weird. POSTED IN:
