Re-reverting to Palm
johnfitzgerald | Mar 16 2006
Hi, I've just returned to using a Palm for my diary, contacts, to-do, notes etc. I had been using an A5 filofax (liked the freedom of scribbling on paper and the ability to store loose bits of paper). I find the Palm much handier, as it's smaller to carry around and syncs with Outlook etc. I'm also able to sync Outlook with Airset, so I have triple backup! I covered the lack of paper to scribble on by getting a tiny notebook (Bloc Rhodia No 11)- almost exactly the same size as my Palm. I think an electronic system encourages you to get incoming items into a suitable place (phone no into contacts, appointment into diary etc), which can be a boost to efficiency. Paper systems allow more flexible input, but in a way they encourage building up a backlog of things not yet dealt with. At least that's my experience...what's yours 11 Comments
