_Make:_ and new Life Hacks column premieres
Merlin Mann | Feb 5 2005
Make: is O’Reilly’s new mook (meaning "book-length magazine"—not a frat guy in a backwards baseball hat). It’s a beautifully designed and edited publication about homemade technology projects for nerds. Kind of like ReadyMade meets Popular Mechanics. Issue #01 features the premiere of a “Life Hacks” column by Danny O’Brien and your author. Issue #2 will have more columny goodness from us plus a review or three from me. You can and should subscribe to Make: for ~US$35/year. 11 Comments

About MerlinBio Merlin Mann is an independent writer, speaker, and broadcaster. He’s best known for being the guy who created the website you’re reading right now. He lives in San Francisco, does lots of public speaking, and helps make cool things like You Look Nice Today, Back to Work, and Kung Fu Grippe. Also? He’s writing this book, he lives with this face, he suffers from this hair, he answers these questions, and he’s had this life. So far. Merlin’s favorite thing he’s written in the past few years is an essay entitled, “Cranking.” |
